Naples carries a reputation for premium pricing, and during peak season that reputation is earned at the top-tier courses. But the destination also supports a strong value tier where four rounds of quality golf, comfortable lodging, and genuine off-course experiences fit within a budget that would cover two rounds at Tiburón. This itinerary targets that tier without compromising on course quality or conditioning.
Arrive at RSW and drive the 35 to 45 minutes south to Naples. Heritage Bay Golf Club is located in North Naples along Immokalee Road, making it a convenient first stop on the route from the airport before continuing to your hotel.
Morning round at Lely Resort's Flamingo Island, Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s 1989 design where water appears on 12 holes and the visual drama is constant.
This is the double-round day, and the pairing works geographically because Lely Resort and Marco Island are both south of central Naples along the same corridor. Start early at Lely Mustang, Lee Trevino's only Southwest Florida design.
A rental car is essential and represents one of the better investments on this trip, at $35 to $65 per day from RSW. The courses spread from North Naples (Heritage Bay) to Marco Island (The Rookery), a corridor of roughly 35 miles. The Hilton Naples on Tamiami Trail provides the best central positioning for all four courses. Off-peak travel in May or October reduces green fees and hotel rates by 30 to 50 percent across the board, and course conditioning remains strong during these shoulder months. The afternoon thunderstorm risk during summer months is real but manageable with early morning tee times.
